We regret to advise that today it was announced by the relevant authorities in Germany that the 42nd Oberammergau Passion Play has been postponed until 2022 due to the worldwide coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This cancellation marks only the third time in the Passion Play’s 400-year history that the performance has been interrupted.

We are still absorbing the impact of this news and will be consulting with our partners in Europe in the coming days to gather further information on rebooking and refund policies.

All group leaders and travel coordinators were notified of this development as soon as the news broke and we will be reaching out to affected clients directly in the coming days to notify them of the cancellation and provide information on either rescheduling for 2022 or obtaining a refund. Complicating our outreach is that today California issued a mandatory stay-at-home order affecting all state residents in an attempt to mitigate the effects of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This order requires the closure of all nonessential businesses and, as a result, George’s International Tours has been forced to limit its operations until further notice.
